Why I love Disneyland

There are some very obvious reasons why Disneyland is a wonderful place to visit.
The rides, the characters, the churros and popcorn
But, that's not why I love it.
Here's why...

Ava's awe and wonder at the parade (no matter how many times she sees it.)

James telling Judson, "There's Ariel!"  It's clear that we have a little princess in our house.

This girl on the Autotopia Cars.  She scolds me and points to the no bumping sign every time our car wheels hit the track.  Just about the cutest thing ever.

Getting to hold my baby and not having to put him down to do dishes or laundry.

The kids falling asleep in the stroller and walking back to the car chatting with James.

We love our Disney Days

What you didn't see:
- Ava spilled chocolate milk all over her shirt.
-  Our very over priced pizza dinner was almost inedible. ..
- We got home at 12:00 that night and the baby woke up at 4:30
Gotta love the craziness!

Instagram Love

I love me some Instagram.  I don't have an I-phone so I steel my husband's.
My big ol' camera is wonderful and I use it almost everyday but sometimes it's not close enough to capture sweet moments like..
.
Getting a ride after playing hard at the park

Showing off our missing teeth
 Stories before bed

Licking the phone
So, the quality is not great but now these moments will be remembered forever which is all that really matters.

God is in Control

I know it in my head but it is just so much easier to say than to believe sometimes.  See, we found out this week that Ava will need surgery on her right kidney.  Surgery will be scheduled for three weeks from now.  It's going to be a good thing.  It needs to be done and we are glad that she's gonna get all fixed up.  But, do I like the idea of my baby being out of my hands while something this major is going on?  NOPE.  So if you, like me, are needing a little reminder of God's sovereignty, these verses are pretty encouraging to meditate on.

"Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures."
~Psalm 119:90
"Yet you, Lord, are our Father.  We are the clay, you are the potter; We are all the work of your hand."
~Isaiah 64:8

"Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it the purpose of the Lord that will stand."
~Proverbs 19:22

"For God is not a God of confusion but of peace."
~1 Corinthians 14:33

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
~ Romans 15:13

Friends

Friends are the best.  Especially the friends that are actually more like family.  I got the chance to see some of those kinds of friends today (We missed you Niffy Girl!)
Like a breath of fresh air.

Our babies also got to play together.  I love that they have all known each other since they were born.
Special

Earlier that morning I dropped Ava girl off at school.
It was a field trip day.
Kindergartners in a frenzy.  So excited to be going to the farm.
And...
To be with their friends

Please note the ridiculous length of this shirt on my child.  She is such a peanut.
And how awesome is her teacher.  Leading the troops onward with her fist in the air.

TEETH!!!

I can't believe it but my baby girl is about to loose her first tooth.
Teeth actually.
The two on the bottom.
Can you see them?

And, my baby boy just got his first two teeth about a month ago.
The same two teeth that are about to fall out of Ava's mouth are growing in Judson's.
As it turns out, photographing the said teeth is not such an easy task.

Dada's Home

YAY!!  Long, hard week with Daddy out of town but we did it!  And we are so glad that he is home safe. We missed him.  He makes Ava giggle more than anyone.  It was good to hear that laughter out of her this afternoon. Judson is doing some new things (yep, in the three days that James was gone he started waving and clapping)  He was happy to see his Daddy too.  I may have been the happiest of all!
So, I actually did my hair and makeup today and thought we'd pick up Ava from school and go out to lunch.  But, we pulled up to find her in tears, standing with her teacher.  She had fallen in the toilet...Oh dear :-/ So, we scratched lunch plans and headed home for a good scrub in the tub.

I LOVE baseball and James got to go to a Yankees vs. Orioles games while he was in Maryland.  So jealous!!!  But, I got a cute coffee mug at least.

My babies drove me a little crazy this week but there were still plenty of sweet sweet moments that I want to remember.

Now, time to catch up on some TV shows with the hubby. Goodnight :-)

Mommy's Day

My first Mother's Day gift came on Friday when Ava got home from school and just couldn't wait another second to give me what she had made...
Very proud to be sporting this fine piece of jewelry.  An Ava Letterneau original.

It was such fun fun day.  We were not sure what to do that would be fun, relaxing, and keep the kiddos happy.  We decided on the Hotel Del Coronado.  It's one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been.  I love it there...
I love my Mommy and Daddy

Ava has this great book called Becka and the Big Bubble about a girl who travels all around San Diego to see some of the sites.  The Hotel Del is one of the places she visits.  This was really neat for Ava to see it come alive.

Aren't we talented?  J/K!!!  Got to watch a man build this masterpiece on the sand.

No words for this picture.  It's just perfect.

Oh what fun it is to play in the sand on Mother's Day (sing that to the tune of jingle bells)

Hubby and my Dad made the day so special for us ladies.  Delicious breakfast, pedicure trip, taking on the kids so we could relax (a little)

Most countries celebrate Women's Day.  America does not -LAME!  This women happens to be my sister and she is awesome!  Definitely deserves to be celebrated.  She has come to my rescue countless times and she loves my kids!

See ya next time my Mama has something fun to say :-)

What you didn't see...
- I put sunscreen on the baby everywhere but the back of his neck.  He got burned (or would I say burnt?)
- I have gotten Ava two new suits for the summer and there is something about both of them that bother her.  One is too tight and other is too loose (according to her).  This is her suit from last year and I brought two extras in the bag just in case she decided that this one was also unacceptable.
